Benzaclin is an expensive prescription product.  For just one prescription it is $175.  They have coupons to get it for $20 and if your insurance will pay for it then the price really doesn’t matter.  But if you are paying for it out of pocket then especially when you add in the cost of a doctor’s visit it gets to be expensive.  Further, although benzoyl peroxide is effective studies have recently shown that using a product with tea tree oil is just as effective but you don’t have to worry about any side effects like you do with benzoyl peroxide.  Because Benzaclin can’t treat acne in the long term and it is lacking in key areas it’s not recommended as the most effective acne treatment on the market.
