You will see side effects after using any product with salicylic acid until you build up a tolerance after a few weeks. You will probably want to start with a small dose and then increase it so that you don’t deal with dryness, peeling, and itchiness quite as much as you otherwise might. Using a product with tea tree oil instead of salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide can produce the same results but without the side effects which is why I prefer to use products with tea tree oil.
